Scar Side Farm bed and breakfast is located in an idyllic picturesque setting, we can be found at the end of a tranquil lane tucked under Orton Scar. The property overlooks both the Howgills and the eastern Lakeland fells, and enjoys outstanding uninterupted views of the surrounding countryside. We are situated directly on the famous Wainwrights Coast to Coast walk. The building is a traditional Westmorland Longhouse and has been furnished to a high standard. At Scar Side we aim to ensure that guests, whether on an overnight stop on the Coast to Coast walk, or those on a longer stay enjoy the peaceful surroundings and our genuine hospitality. The guest lounge and dining area are open plan. You can relax in the very comfortable surroundings and for colder evenings enjoy the wood burning fire. There are washing and drying facilities in the attached utility room. We have safe outdoor parking space for several cars. We have outbuildings that are dry and secure vehicles.
